Last legs

Here are some pictures from the last few days of the trip.

Sunset in Narvik ca. midnight (Note the dumpster fire to your left...)

Our great host in Storfjord who provided a much needed dry place to stay, wonderful food and company. If it had been clear, we could have seen Norway's national mountain in the background. Another day...

Dinner--Welsh--another experiment that turned out well! Cheese sauce = delicious!

Friends visiting our lean to, which we converted to a cabin by setting up wood against the side that was open to the wind!  So cool to be able to "host" others for a change :)

Exciting things ahead! What? well, we have no idea...

Our final, magnificent tent spot complete with sunshine!

Not too much the worse for wear all things considered. Though the bike shop owner almost lost it when he saw Tyler's tires.
He said, "those should have been replaced 1000 km ago." We said, "we know..."
He also helped us find boxes and gave us tape and a ride back into town. Veldig hyggelig folk på sykkelhuset i Bodø!

Our midnight train visitors! So great to see Pal again and to meet his mom. We almost missed it (having fallen asleep accidently), but since Mo i Rana was a longer stop for the smokers on the train, we had time to talk a little bit.

Tyler's breakfast of champions. I had to remind him to take it easy since he wouldn't be on a biycle today.

What does one do for 14 hrs on a train?

CONSTRUCTION ZONE AHEAD
We stayed with Barry and Kaia for two days in Lillehammer and helped with some construction projects they had going.
The more impressive undertaking is on the back side of the house where Tyler, Barry, and their neighbors built a scaffolding!

Said scaffolding
Barry and Evind

This is gonna be good...

The view from their house, which is located in a valley just outside of the city.

Squirmy table!

Sunny and gorgeous again! We are spoiled!

The dynamic duo says "adieu/ha det" for now. Caitlin heading back to Minnesota and the to Alaska. Tyler heading to Lygen for fieldwork and then to Trondheim.
